Birthdays
For ages 2 - 12
Make your child's birthday joyful and enriching! APEC's birthday parties are
learning experiences which will be remembered for a lifetime. Your child and guests are given the opportunity to appreciate nature first hand. We look forward to helping you celebrate your child's special day.
Our 2 hour birthday includes:
- An indoor, age appropriate
discussion about nature which includes the handling of
live animals
that the birthday child selects
the day of the party
A guided
nature walk
(weather permitting)
Nature related craft
chosen by the birthday child for all participants to make and
take home. This craft should be selected by the parent or child two weeks prior to party
Use of classroom area for
refreshments (refrigerator/freezer available).
Many parents serve bagels or
pizza to the guests. Food is typically served 1/2 hour
before the party ends. Call if you need a listing of
pizzerias that regularly deliver to APEC.
Parents' Responsibilities:
Cake and cake knife
Paper goods...plates, cups, napkins and flatware
Tablecloths (about 1 per 8 children)
Large bags to carry gifts
Decorations...optional (please remove after party)
Goody bags...optional
Insect repellant is recommended in summer time

Please note: APEC has two
large birthday rooms, so frequently there will be two parties conducted at
the same time. Call us to request a birthday brochure, fees and
other details.
