Registration Information

Registration Policy:

Pre-registration is required for all programs.

Registration for April/May/June classes and July/August classes is on Saturday March 22nd.

Registration for September/October/November/December early childhood weekday classes is on Saturday April 12th.


Payment:

We prefer payment by cash or check (payable to APEC). We will accept credit cards. If registering by phone, you must pay by credit card.


Waiting List:


If it appears that you will be closed out of a particular class, please put you name on a waiting list. Additional classes may be added. You will be notified if that occurs.

Missed Classes:


No refunds or credits will be given for any programs. You may give your spot to another child if the child is the appropriate age for the program. Please phone APEC to let us know the switch of names.

Make-ups are allowed for multi-session programs only if the front registration desk is notified before your child is noted as absent. Sessions running from September through June are allowed two makeups per session. Sunny Bunny participants are allowed three makeups. Sessions running in July and August are allowed one makeup per session.

Age Requirement:


Your child MUST reach the required age for a particular program either before or during the month that he/she begins that program. All programs are drop-off unless otherwise noted. Participants in drop off classes must be toilet trained.

Trial Classes:


APEC does not offer trial classes. Try one of our one-time weekend programs! They are an accurate representation of how we run our weekly programs.

Registration occurs on a first come first served basis as follows:

11 AM people who wish to become members
1 PM non-members
By Phone
2 PM anyone registering not in person

If your membership expires it must be renewed prior to registration day to register at 9 AM.
Membership does not guarantee a spot in a class; membership is non-refundable.

After School
Little Nature Cubs
Nursery (age 3 by Sept 1, 2013)
Enjoy your first after school program at APEC as you explore the wonders of nature. We will read stories, go on walks and learn with APEC's animals. Snack included. Participants must be toilet trained. Please note, this is a drop-off class. Limited to 8 participants.

Nature Club
Pre-K (Age 4 by December 31, 2013)

Nature Club is designed to meet the needs of young science and nature buffs. This class uses animals, nature and cooperative learning to reinforce children's school readiness skills while providing extra enrichment in the sciences. Activities include free play, story time, games, crafts, live animals and a snack.Limited to 12 participants.

Junior Nature Club
Grades K - 2

Join your fellow nature enthusiasts each week as they experiment, explore and learn about different scientific, nature oriented, and animal topics! Students will participate in hands-on demonstrations, games, crafts, learning activities and nature walks led by a fun and dynamic instructor! Snack included. Limited to 12 participants

*Back by popular demand* - The JuNK Garden Experience. JuNKsters learn to become horticulture enthusiasts while cultivating their very own “JuNK” herb and veggie garden on APEC grounds. If you’re willing to get your hands dirty we will have fun exploring the world of soil, seeds, plants, and flowers. Then, enjoy the fruits of our labor in our culminating garden harvest party. Snack included. Limited to 12 participants. Please note a materials fee of $12 is included in this semester’s rate.
