Pre-registration is required for all programs. If registering in person, you may pay by cash, check (payable to APEC), or credit card (Visa, M/C orex). If registering by phone, you must pay by credit card.Waiting List:
If it appears that you will be closed out of a particular class, please put you name on a waiting list. Additional classes may be formed. You will be notified if that occurs.
Missed Classes:
No refunds or credits will be given for one-time programs. You may give your spot to another child if the child is the appropriate age for the program. Please phone APEC to let us know of the switch of names.
Age Requirement:
Your child must reach the required age for a program either before or during the month that he/she begins that program.
Other:
ALL PROGRAMS ARE DROP-OFF UNLESS OHERWISE NOTED. Participants in drop-off programs must be toilet trained.
Little Nature Cubs
Nursery (age 3 by Sept 1, 2012)
| Enjoy your first after school program at APEC as you explore the wonders of nature. We will read stories, go on walks and learn with APEC's animals. Snack included. Participants must be toilet trained. Please note, this is a drop-off class.

Nature Club
Pre-K (Age 4 by December 31, 2012)
| Nature Club is designed to meet the needs of young science and nature buffs. This class uses animals, nature and cooperative learning to reinforce children's school readiness skills while providing extra enrichment in the sciences. Activities include free play, story time, games, crafts, live animals and a snack.

Junior Nature Club
Grades K - 2
| Get wild each Wednesday at Alley Pond! Junior Nature Kids explore their environment with all five senses through games, crafts, learning activities and nature walks. Help care for animals and better understand secrets such as camouflage. Investigate the mysteries of animals and plants up-close after school. Snack included.

Mid Winter Nocturnal Hike - Ages 7 and up
 Explore APEC’s trails in search of our evening animals. A special early evening hike for children ages 7 and up. Evening will include APEC’s live nocturnal animal demonstration, hot cocoa and munchies. Pre-registration required. Dress warm. |

APEC’s World of Animals
Ages 2 – 10 (parent participation; child must be accompanied by a parent)
| Get ready to travel around the world and never leave APEC. Pick up your passport and APEC’s educators will introduce you to our animals from Australia, South America, North America and Africa. Touch live animals, make animal crafts and spend some time learning about creatures of the world! Pre-registration required. |

Celebrate Butterflies
Ages 6 – 10
 Get ready to celebrate butterflies at APEC! Children will be lead by an APEC Butterfly Educator through various butterfly stations including make your own butterfly shaped sandwich, tattoos and craft corner, photo booth, and story telling circle. At the end of this event children will adopt their own butterfly larva that they can care for and release. Children are encouraged to dress up as a butterfly or caterpillar. Nature hike to look for caterpillars and butterflies is included. Limited to 40 participants. Pre-registration required. |
